Shed Removal FAQ

Straight answers about contents, utilities, access, slabs, debris, preparation, and final-site expectations.

What information helps with an estimate?

Photos of the shed, interior, base, and route; approximate dimensions; material; condition; contents; and known connections.

Do I need to empty the shed?

Set aside what you want to keep. Show anything that should be considered for haul-away so it is not left out of the scope.

Is concrete included?

Not automatically. Slabs, footings, anchors, blocks, and pavers should be identified separately.

Can you remove an electrified shed?

Utilities need to be identified and properly disconnected by the appropriate qualified trade before structural removal.

Do I need a permit?

Rules depend on the municipality, address, structure, and historic status. Confirm current requirements before demolition.

Will the yard be landscaped afterward?

A debris sweep is not grading, soil repair, drainage work, seeding, or preparation for a replacement shed.

Can you move the shed intact?

This site focuses on removal and demolition. A sound shed that should remain usable may need a specialist shed mover.

Can you remove only an existing debris pile?

Yes, that is a distinct service scope, subject to the material, volume, access, and excluded-item review.

Tell us what the shed is made of—and what sits beneath it.

Photos of the structure, base, contents, and access route make the first conversation more useful.
